原推：@0xfbifemboy I have not stayed in Japan specifically long enough to tell, but in some other places I’ve been there’s definitely an “outsider privilege” effect where foreigners (both tourists and long-term, esp. Western) are de-facto exempt from many of the restrictive parts of local culture
